Russia resumes air travel with Egypt, 1st Aeroflot flight in Cairo
MOSCOW/CAIRO, Apr 12 (PRIME) -- Russia has resumed direct air connection with Egypt, and the first in around 2.5 years flight of the national air carrier Aeroflot has already arrived in Cairo, head of Aeroflot’s representative office in Cairo Alexander Grekhov told PRIME late on Wednesday.
Egyptian air company EgyptAir will perform its first flight to Moscow on Thursday.
On December 15, 2017, Russia and Egypt signed an agreement on security in Egyptian airports that will allow the two countries to restart air travel suspended in 2015 after a crash of a Russian plane over the Sinai Peninsula.
